Brian carter cellars
The first winery in
Washington State to focus exclusively on European-style blended
wines. Winemaker, Brian Carter, has studied microbiology
at Oregon State University and attended the University of
California-Davis School of Enology. Brian has been instrumental
in propelling Washington State wines to international status.
At a competition between Bordeaux and U.S. wines, Brian’s 1983
Paul Thomas Cabernet outscored most of the wines, including a
Chateau Lafite-Rothschild.
Brian has been twice awarded "Winemaker of
the Year" by Washington Magazine and was extremely honored to be
selected Vintner of the Year by his peers for the 2007 Auction
of Washington Wines. Brian is also the only three-time
recipient of the Pacific Northwest Enological Society’s
GrandPrize.
