Founder Dennis Fife has been making wine in Napa Valley since 1973.  He was president of Inglenook Napa Valley, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Beaulieu Vineyards, and held the title of Consiglieri at Stags' Leap Winery.  This experience gave him a strong background for the best vineyard sites and what makes them great.  In 1991, Dennis realized a longtime dream and launched Fife Vineyards.

Dennis' winemaking philosophy is simple:  seek out grapes with personality and breed, handle them minimally, and then focus on blending to bring out nuance and character in the wine.
